Skydive Adventure!

My good friend Tim is up in Oregon on leave from 29 stumps and while he was here I got to spend 2 whole days with him! Here is a little back ground on us just so you know how we tick. I want to High School with Tim all 4 yrs and than we ended up at the same University where we became very close and our friendship stuck! Now I had been Bungee jumping for my 18th birthday so when I meet Tim he had the same dare devil quality I possessed (yes where both crazy), and on his 21st birthday I took him bungee jumping just him and I.

So naturally after that I told him one day I'll take you skydiving since its the next thing on our (lets see if we can kill ourselves) list.  About 3 years went by and lots happened, he has become my hero in the armed forces, served 8 months over seas and I have my own business working my butt off as well! When Tim and I were making plans for his return & leave up here in good old Oregon aka Home, I just knew exactly what special thing we had to do together! by now I'm sure he thought I forgot and that it was never going to happen but I would never forget such a thing I promised before he left to join the devil dogs and promised all those years ago!

On to the main event we went... Mike (our new dare devil side kick), Tim & myself hoped in a newly washed Jeep Rubicon and head on our road tip to Central Oregon Skydiving in Madras, OR!
We look back now and even though it was a 3hr drive we're all so happy we had to drive cause the weather we left behind was rain and gray(no dive weather) central Oregon right after Sisters was beautiful and sunny!
Our little dive plane and the Jeep going on its 1st real dangerous adventure!
Mike chose to be the 1st test subject and suited up! Tim & I decided with bungee jumping under our belts its best if Mike just go's for it without thinking twice!
Go Mike!
Last chance to back out..naah!

Mikes dive, look for the little tinny black dot in the sky! Oh and enjoy the comentary..

To me it just seems so surral still that I totally jumped out of a plan at 10,000feet, free fell for almost 1 minute and than had a birds eye view on a gorgus day of the earth! Yeah it was amazing plus i got to do it with 2 sexy men what else could a girl ask for!
Me getting suited up!
Way ready after I let both boys dive 1st!

I think the boys were a little nervous so I let the "ladies" go 1st as I took a back seat! When it came time for me I was more than ready!

My dive video, and yes I got pink & purple on my parashut!

I cant even discribe it the jump was amazing and I had a smile the hole way down!
Mike and I after my dive!

Tim & I with gooffy smiles!

Seattle Washington

I just had an amazing trip to Seattle to see my good friends Maren & Stephen! They were such wonderful hosts and tour guides showing us everything they could in one day! We drove up there after work on Saturday night took about 4hrs stopping in Kelso, WA for a bite to eat! They have done such a wonderful job of decorating their rental, Maren has real taste for it, its small kinda European set up but such a cute place! We started of our day with Coffee and croissants @ home than got ready & took off for our adventure. Mike started his morning with a cat cuddle..animals just love him!
These are the cats who are afraid of outsiders lol!

The morning was a little chilly but by 10am the sun started peeking out and it was one of the most gorgeous days I have seen in awhile! it ended up being 63 degrees and sunny with no wind, clear as day! We started our tour walking to Nordstrom Rack just cause we're in downtown Seattle so you cant not shop!

Walked our way down to Pike's Place Market somewhere neither Mike or I have been too! It was so much fun to walk through and look at all the artist work, there were some amazing flowers in all colors and I wanted so bad to get some but they would not have made it all day and home :(
Mike, Me, Maren & Stephen going to market!

After walking the market we started walking down the water front, it was so gorgeous out you wouldn't even believe it.
waking to the water frount! we forgot our sunnies :(

Had to have a pic w/the blue trees!

city scape in the park

Ate at this yummy fish & chips place were the best thing about it was the feeding of the seagulls lol! Yes you save some extra long french fries and than after your done you hold them out and segulls come by & snatch them from your fingers!
This one ate our fries!

It was just a wonderful trip, ended up cramming so much into our day doing so many things that after our wine we were all pretty tired & sun soaked ( but i am not complaining about that one) took the fary back home for some pizza & beer from the Magic Pizza Train (aka me & Mike still have no clue of the actual name lol).

Surviving the 25th Birthday

First and for most I must give you the 7 major things survival list of what you will need to survive your 25th birthday before I go into details of how I made it past mine!s

1) Drinks (notice the s @ the end) that should go without saying!
2) Really good friends by your side!
3) A Family or 2 to help you through your quarter life crisis time!
4) Very helpful, attractive man that can cook & clean! (optional)
5) High heels cause they just make your sagging butt look better!
6) Of course a cute outfit!
7) You cant forget your quarter crisis theme song!

Now you're ready...Or are you? Ok I am being a little dramatic but when you do reach 25yrs it seems so unreal just because it is one of those ages that is always talked about. The age your car insure goes down, the age people start thinking about marriage, kids and houses. The age you must start using age defying products and under eye creams. Its also the age you realize that you cant eat everything you want, and 21+ was not that good to you in the weight department so now you have to work your butt off to keep it off lol.

I guess lets face it, theses days people find their soul mates much later in life and 30 is the new "lets think about kids and making the American dream ours" age. So yes as you know I did survive turning 25 and I am now over my quarter life crisis hump after much needed rest, cake/deserts and pouting!

Let me start at the top of the survival list!
          1) Started out the birthday week with the friends on Sunday night for dinner & fish bowl margaritas at a local Mexican food restaurant. Than moved on to the bowling alley where I was turned onto this amazing drink called oatmeal cookies, yes as good as it sounds! Monday night had the family over for a big pot of ground turkey chili, mimosa's and the banana peanut butter muffins! Tuesday continued with the other side of the family for sushi & Saki tasting. We moved on to meet the whole family (SURPRISE) for desert at a Hungarian restaurant with some good red wine called Bulls Blood!
          2) There are 5 of us girls from middle/high school that all have our birthdays in February and every year we still manage to celebrate it together on one day! This year we were minus two girls (the twins) but they were in our thoughts as they get through some tough family times.
          3)  I have many families that wanted to show love and support. I have my mom's side, my dads side, my adopted family side aka ( mom's best friend/ my god parents) and many more people I consider my family! All of them spent time with me and spoiled me!
          4) My oh so wonderful man showered me with love and understanding! Sunday took me shopping for clothes, got me a cute new outfit for birthday dinner with the girls, that covers #6. Monday he made me eggs Benedict one of my favorite breakfasts and cleaned house. Tuesday morning made me chocolate chip and peanut butter stuffed french toast with a mimosa!
           5) I didnt wear heels out :( but I wore super cute new flats, so I sported the saggy butt look!
           6) Covered that one in #4 's mumbo jumbo...
           7) I went with a wonderful new song that my man found & than sent to me Oh Darling (feat. Cady Groves) by Plug In Stereo!

I have to say I survived very well with only a few break downs & minor pitty parties here or there. These are some pictures from the birthday dinner with friends!

After the drinks and dinner!

Three of the 5 feb birthday girls!

Good friends all through middle school & beyond!
