Quarter Centery Leap!

It is my last day being 24 years old and so far its going very well! My morning started out with coffee and a very yummy eggs benedict breakfast the best part is none of it did I have to cook! My wonderful man made me sit on the couch with my lap top he put Say Yes to the Dress Netflix on and cooked, if I keep him forever I don't think ill mind what age I'm turning!

I think as the Birthday day is fast aproching I am coming to terms with the fact I just cant out run 25! 
            As our leading lady Scarlet would say.." I cant think about that today, ill think about that tomorrow." "Cause tomorrow is another day."

Okay so I have to bitch a little..maybe a lot about cloths shopping. I spent last Sunday at the Washington Square Mall that I had never been to up until now. Its a HUGE mall with every store a girl could want in it, H&M, Forever 21, Macy's, Nordstroms, VS, Sephora... you get the picture. Yet, now get this, I found one pair of work pants a cardigan and a work blazer...WTF I know! Here comes the bitching, the "trends" that are going on for my "age group" are terrible either that or I am now to old to shop in these stores. In fashion they say if you have worn the style once and it comes back than you are too old to wear it again. In most cases I agree, except for the case that I CAN'T be that old yet for trends to be coming back around that I wore when I was a kid. Let me give you some examples...

Sad fact is I must be too old cause nothing about these things say professional woman. Point 2 is I have worn almost every one of these outfits since I was 5-Middle school, they were not cute than and they are not cute now..So why the hell are they coming back????? Maybe if I were someone with No boobs, No hips, No butt and No belly it would be fine...ugh

Too Many Chooses

I am having trouble deciding what I should do with my hair next. i want to keep it red but just not sure what kind of red i am looking for. Seems like people are coping my style all over right now so I feel the need to step even further outside the box...

Do I..

 ...Add some bright red highlights?

OR

...Make it a warm Nutmeg color?

OR

...Keep it the same red?

OR

Maybe go extremely bright red? 

Sometimes I wish someone would just tell me lol!

Morning Addiction!

Hi my name is Meaghan and I have a morning addiction..

My morning addiction goes way beyond coffee, I find myself waking up every morning now around 7:30am walking into the kitchen starting my Krieger coffee maker looking at my morning hair in the mirror and by the time I sit on the couch to flip on the TV for maybe the "News"... It's on!! exactly at 8:00 on TLC...Say Yes to the Dress! I get sucked in every time and I love it!

I just cant help myself! The one thing that always gets me is how much the complain and than how much they spend on dresses AHHHHHH! Maybe I just don't get it yet cause I have never been there but I would never make my family pay these crazy amounts on a dress you where for a few hrs on one day! I still love to watch other people spend crazy amounts of money on them lol!

The best part is right after all the pretty dresses What Not to Wear comes on! Its a beautiful morning and poor Mike (he likes it) lol has to suffer through it all!

Whats the Trend?

I am a Hairdresser/Nail technician and a lot of clients look to me for what the newest trends and fashion are. I guess I could just tell them to look in the latest Glamour, Lucky or People style but even than people have a hard time finding something for them and they get over whelmed. Trust me I am in that same boat, there is always so much fashion and styles coming at me from all directions I get thrown off. So today I am going to try and show you some of the things that I like and feel comfortable in and also what I'm seeing as trend in the hair world witch a lot of times is where the fashion can inspire/start your journey. Have the right cut and color for you can bring your wardrobe and makeup to life again!

Lets start with Hair, what I am seeing that "real people" not runway people are wearing and wanting are things a little more natural and one color with just subtle changes. Along with that they want a little less maintenance. Keep in mind a lot of women now are embracing their natural color or close to that color! its about loving the beauty you where born with, feeling confident in that skin and that will make everything come together!

This is a Wella blond but for the blonds they want multi tone blond yet still in the same warm or cool tone. Your seeing an almost one solid color with subtle movement.

This is a gorgeous slight A-line bob with just soft mocha highlights sun kissed in her natural color witch has just been shined up with a semi color gloss! Beautiful and simple yet Red Carpet ready!

The Ombre Hair is still here but its a little more soft. Starting with your natural color and lightning from that so you get more of a natural fade. Its also a lower maintenance look cause lets face it you already have grow out so you don't have to worry about touching up as often lol!

Red! What can I say I am a little bias but lets face it no person has this natural color of red but on people with lighter pinkish skin tone and blue or green eyes this color dose look natural. But before you go changing to red you have to know its really one of the hardest colors to keep looking fresh. It loves to fade out and the up keep is one of the most high maintenance colors. You have to know that before going in to the Red Zone!

This is an elegant natural color with a hint, I mean hint of taupe highlights. I know taupe is a strange color to consider putting in hair but that's really what it is. Not warm or cool but a little of both its a supporting color that helps other colors stand out and take the stage!

This is what you would call adding low lights to brown hair. The cut is a little extreme but the idea is to add a soft dark red or dark brown to already dark hair so that when light hits it your eye catches that pop of color but than in shade it gets more of a one tone all over shine look. Its kinda like your hidden inner sex kitten ;)

These are all looks that all women can wear and feel sexy in! We need to just stop fighting against your natural beauty and just enhance it! I want you to take take a deep breath and let this soak in before I move on, so ill post clothing and make up in their very own posts later on!

Tuesday Gaming Nights

This is going to be totally nerdy but its very exciting to my dads side of the family...Every Tuesday night my Sister, Dad, Alex, Mike and I all rendezvous at my dads place for hard cider, food and COD world @ war. For those of you who don't know what that is, its a PS3 shooting game called Call of Duty, and on it they have a zombie shooting mode that 4 people can play. We love hanging out playing and seeing how many levels we can shoot our way through before we get over run and our brains become zombie food lol! In the past level 28 was are nemesis leave and no matter what we did or what group of people were playing we could not for the life of us get past this level. Well last night was an epic night, we didn't have my dad to join us but my Sister, Alex, Mike and I played a hard core game with bullets flying and some people becoming zombie bait. Not only did we make it through level 28 but made it to the mad and crazy LEVEL 30! Oh Yes we did! It has taken us so long to get to that point and we all had our cameras ready for the moment when 30 showed up on our TV screens!!

Since my dad was not here and there are so many of our family friends who play we had to document that we actually made it to this level or they would not have believed us ;) I warned you that this was going to be totally nerdy but I absolutely love that this brings our family and friend together for a little fun!

New Blog for a New Me!!

I started this blog for the wrong reasons 4yrs ago, so I have changed it completely and started over with a new look & also a new attitude! Let me just say a little bit about myself so you some what understand what "will be" at times totally random blogging!

I'm just about to turn 25yrs young in 21 days 6 1/2 hours give or take lol! Guess you can say I'm feeling a (mid) midlife crises breakdown coming on. Not quite sure how I got to 25, memories are starting to become a little fuzzy but also not sure if I'm ready to be 25 yet. seems like its come too soon, there is much more I want to accomplish 1st, guess that's why I still have 75 more! I live in beautiful, green bipolar weather state of Oregon with my little man Tajuan aka bubba or T-man or rubber_ducky1(his call sign)

 (he's really my little 4yr old Yorkie but he is known around town as the grand puppy)

Also in my life is my best friend/soul mate Mike! He is everything I lack & need while also straightening everything I am! Both my boys make everyday an adventure with laughs, they mean the world to me and I wouldn't trade them for anything!! We all live in a small 2 bedroom duplex a block away from my alma mater, kinda strange feeling walking Tajuan past it but really nice family area! There will be a lot to post cause it seems like I'm always moving and starting on a new project/adventure with every day I wake & this is the way I LOVE to live my life!
